Housing Information
Register at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hare at the special conference rate of $121/night (plus tax) for all rooms. Register online for a room or call 1-888-233-9527 and identify yourself as a Socialism 2008 attendee. Register soon. The hotel will hold rooms at the special conference rate until May 15, 2008. After that, the hotel will fill them on a space-available basis.
Housing Assistance
A limited amount of space will be available for people who could not otherwise afford to attend Socialism 2008. Please check the box on the registration form if you would like to be considered for this option. Those seeking housing assistance will need to bring their own bedding. Please make your request for housing assistance by the deadline of May 31, 2008.
Child Care
On-site child care will be provided. To help us plan, please make sure to note the number of children and their ages on the registration form. Those requesting child care must let us know by May 31, 2008.
Travel Arrangements
Participants may be able to arrange rides with a local International Socialist Organization branch. Contact your local branch or e-mail the Socialism 2008 staff at info@socialismconference.org.
Getting to Socialism 2008
The Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare is located near O’Hare Airport. If you are flying into O’Hare, you can take the complimentary airport shuttle bus to the hotel.
If you are driving to Socialism 2008, the Crowne Plaza is 1 mile from I-90 & I-294 and 3 blocks South of the Kennedy Expressway (I-90). Exit at River Road south from the Kennedy Expressway and continue 3 blocks to the Crowne Plaza. Parking is available for a fee at the hotel.
